In this article, I would like to introduce three points that people who fail in interviews many times should review. Actually, it is also beneficial for all those who will change jobs in the future.
Useful Health Tips – How to boost your Immunity
Reason for changing jobs
How you explain the reason for changing jobs is a very important point. Basically, the explanation that gives a negative impression to the other party is to be avoided.
For example, let’s say you quit your job because of a bad relationship or office politics within your department. However, you must not mention that your relationships weren’t working and that is the reason you quit your job. If you tell it as it is, the hiring side will think that even if you change jobs, you will quit your job again for the same reason.
What is important in an interview is what kind of benefits both can get from the hiring. And we are also seeing if we can work as a team.
Managers today are required to have close communication and coordination skills with other departments, customers, suppliers, etc., rather than simply working in a silo. In particular, when managing a team or coming up with a strategic plan for growth , the manager must play a central role in advancing the project.
The reason for changing jobs is usually asked at the beginning of the interview, and it will give a negative image from the beginning, so carefully paraphrase the reason for changing jobs to a positive one.
Matching your experience
Matching experience with the applicant is also a very important point. Some of the jobs are highly specialized jobs. For example there are a wide range of design engineers, from those who design large equipment to those who design consumer products such as home appliances, automobiles, and heavy industry. If you have been working in the design function and you’re applying for a completely different industry, you may not be selected or interviewed. It depends on how the company evaluates your experience. Be thoroughly prepared with answers on your area of expertise. And if you wish to change industries, it will be a good idea to be prepared to give your own presentation on why you’re changing the industry and how you can use your experience to the new role.
In addition to resumes, it may be easier to convey to the other party the kind of work you are good at by adding proposals and references.
How you convey your strengths
Sometimes, we make mistakes when communicating our strengths. For example, there are cases where features are mistaken for strengths. This is an individual feature, such as a nice smile and the ability to work patiently in any situation.
When communicating strengths rather than individual characteristics, it is best to talk “based on results.” Strengths become strengths only when results are achieved.
For example, suppose you complete a product as a project leader, the measures and management methods that we have taken to complete it are our strengths. It’s easy to mistake your characteristics for your strengths, so be careful. Only new graduates and second-year graduates can showcase their strengths as smiles and patience in interviews.
So far, I have introduced that people who fail in interviews many times should review their approach. The point is that it is important to consider whether the benefits of hiring yourself are being communicated to the other party.
Even if you appeal what you can do and you have a great personality, you will not be hired if you are far from the human resources skills and requirements that the other person is looking for. Explain your skills and strengths so that they know how much you can contribute to the company.
Some of the skills which companies look for –
In order to be trusted, as far as the customer is concerned, “on time for delivery” and “ability to solve customer problems” are required.
Keeping the delivery date means keeping the promise.
Ability to solve customer issues is very important. In other words, you will always be consulted. The reason for pulling out is that there are issues that customers cannot solve. Having a relationship of constant consultation means that you are being asked for answers to problems that cannot be solved, so it can be said that you are a necessary existence for the other party.
Work as a team.
