JOB OVERVIEW:

The individual in this role will be accountable for overseeing the planning and coordination of externally sourced products, ensuring a continuous and reliable supply of all assigned product SKUs. Additionally, this position will also handle various SAP-related responsibilities.

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

Reports to: Associate General Manager – External Supplies

Direct Reports: NA

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred experience in managing satellite supply chains involving multiple CMO, CRO, and testing sites
  • Expertise in handling concurrent activities within a complex supply chain
  • At least five years of experience in supply planning, ideally within a pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing setting
  • Experience in production planning and inventory control, preferably within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience with cGMP principles and practices
  • Proficiency and experience with SAP are essential, with a preference for S4 HANA
  • Familiarity with MRP and inventory control systems

KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Responsibility:

  • The Global Order Manager, is responsible for leading and planning the Order Management, Billing, and Entitlements operations for a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-country organization.
  • The individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective OB processes across business units. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department of as well as making customer Centricity a prime focus.
  • Lead the implementation of a new order management system
  • Strengthen global order fulfillment control tower. Manage global B2B orders and communicate order status’ expectations to all customers and stakeholders. Resolve order management issues; Develop, report and improve order fulfillment metrics.
  • To ensure and maintain high level of customer service by taking ownership of Internal and external customers and handling of orders from receipt to the closure of sales.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of all order issues.

Develops, implements and oversees all order management processes including:

  • Analyses, qualifies and completes change order request.
  • Verifies New customer accounts and works with customer vendor data base in SDN check.
  • Notifies customer of promise delivery date with an order acknowledgment and ensures that customer receives their orders on time in full and shipment commitment targets are met.
  • Proactively and promptly updates the customer on any delay in deliveries whether a revised delivery date is available or not.
  • Ensures that the dates owned by Order management team are updated in Order Book
  • Facilitates emergency /kick off meetings with other functional group and expedites immediately when there are any potential order delays.
  • Generates and analyses backlog orders and participates in order backlog review meetings to provide feedback on risks to meet the periods shipment commitments.

Continues improvement and innovation: 

  • Participates in the execution of functional unit strategic initiatives /programmes to improve key performance indicators and support the objectives of the organisation.
