Job Description

Demand Planning automation

  • Design, develop, evaluate various forecasting models and implement across Hospitals Main Stores and Sub stores level. Ownership of the demand forecast model and continuous improvement for the same by analysing and inputs from Historical, Seasonal, Market intelligence, Category Management function which supports the wider Supply Chain function for the network level to achieve business goals.
  • Strict Compliance with Hospital formulary while evaluating forecasting models.
  • Review and refine forecast models 6-12 months in advance while taking into account Sales & Marketing assumptions; and understanding of demand forecast drivers
  • Development of the demand plan and it’s validation from various sources and preparation of multiple levels of aggregation for a variety of time horizons as part of the demand planning function
  • Review trends in historical sales, forecast accuracy / forecast bias with a goal of progressive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage the Demand Review process and demand related activities of the SCM&P process
  • Preparation of key KPI reports and analysis on forecast accuracy and demand trends to support the monthly SCM&P cycle
  • Co-ordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model as required
  • Facilitate and partner with Operations ,Sales and Marketing, Supply Planning, Finance, and Procurement through the SCM&P cycle to escalate key actions from these meetings to the relevant stakeholders
  • Management of the Demand Planning tools and systems – supporting their maintenance and continuous improvement by coordination with IT team.

Inventory Optimization & Control automation.

  • Derive and maintain optimum list of SKU’s and Storage locations across hospitals for inventories.
  • Availability assessment and initiate alternate options wherever safety stock levels are low.
  • Indent Service level monitoring.
  • ROL execution management by generating purchase requisitions on time.
  • Inventory hygiene improvement for negating write off costs to minimum by continuous monitoring of Surplus, Non-Moving, Nearing expiry, Ageing, and initiate timely liquidation actions. Adequate cycle count process by various methods like Value,
  • Review, modify and deploy SOP & Process guidelines for effective material management across locations.
  • Work closely with MDM/Category Managers and act as a key support to ensure Product Life Cycle and Product Status is maintained for all SKU’s

Governance ,MIS & Reporting automation.

  • Compliance monitoring for UNIT SCM functions, Implementing Best practices across SCM&P.
  • Liaising Internal and external Statutory audits and maintain compliance level.
  • MIS reports on SCM functions Inventory holding, Inventory hygiene, Service level tracking
