As a Strategic Procurement Specialist , you will be instrumental in optimizing NOV’s procurement strategy, ensuring that the acquisition of goods and services aligns seamlessly with our overall business objectives. Your responsibilities will include sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with suppliers to drive cost savings, enhance quality, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and strategic thinking to effectively contribute to our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Evaluation: Identify and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and alignment with NOV objectives.
• Strategic Implementation: Develop and implement strategies to optimize supplier selection and mitigate risks.
• Market Monitoring: Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.
• Negotiation: Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, including pricing and contracts.
• Supplier Relationships: Maintain strong supplier relationships to foster collaboration and long-term value.
• Cost Reduction: Drive cost reduction through negotiation, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier performance against KPIs such as quality, delivery, and service.
• Improvement Initiatives: Implement performance improvement initiatives and proactively address issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives.
• Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic guidance for procurement and supplier management decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field is desirable; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CIPs) preferred.
  • Minimum 05 years of work experience in similar position.
  • Excellent English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Experience: Alternatively, hands-on experience working with suppliers, including liaising for price lists, call-offs, negotiating prices, contracts, and potentially identifying alternative vendors.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, machining, and/or hydraulics.
• Skills:
  • Negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.
  • Proficient in supplier relationships and performance evaluation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders at all levels.
