Lead Sourcing Specialist – Services
 
Role Summary/Purpose:
 
The Lead Sourcing Specialist – Services will be responsible for the Sourcing strategy including supplier management and performance. In addition, the Lead Sourcing Analyst will own the budget and frame agreements for the commodity. The Lead Sourcing Analyst will manage the Spend, identify Cost Out projects & execute them to achieve the deflation.
The Lead Sourcing Analyst will act as Liaison between Strategic Sourcing team & Service shed for their requirements.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Commodity & Supplier Management:
    • Establish the strategy for the Services Procurement, including the “make or buy” decisions. Align with Remanufacturing Strategy & secure Contracts with suppliers to support.
    • Develop technical and regional supplier market intelligence.
    • Build, qualify, develop and manage the regional & import supplier panel including rationalization.
    • Define and deploy supplier risk assessments including sole, single and dual sourcing plans.
    • Lead & identify the Cost out projects for Services requirements.
    • Create & execute Contracts with suppliers for supporting the services requirements for services life.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Manage relationships with regional suppliers and be the key point of contact.
    • Drive and monitor selection process of new suppliers.
  • Budget/Forecast:
    • Build forecast and budget for the Services Procurement.
    • Monitors producer price index savings on a monthly basis and drives action plans.
  • Request for Quotes (Off Cycle & Serial Life):
    • Read the Supplier Drawings, Purchase Specifications & Services / Remanufacture requirements for the parts & identify suppliers to support the new Part requirements.
    • Manages RFQ, offer evaluation, negotiation and contracting: frame agreements, off cycle services life.
    • Optimizes PO payment terms implements supplier payment process automation.
  • Project Sourcing:
    • Provides supplier vendor list to project buyers.
    • Responsible for contracting suppliers that are new for the site.
    • Contributes to final negotiations, ensuring leverage of scale affect across other ongoing projects.
    • Validates supplier selection from project buyers and participates in the Project Sourcing Committee.
  • Operational:
    • Drives sourcing competitiveness for existing and standard parts.
    • Responsible for re-sourcing in Services Life.
    • Responsible for contract amendments and re-negotiations.
    • Intervenes in major supplier issues once escalated.
    • Execute the Contracts with supplier & work on the Warranty recovery from suppliers for established issues.
    • Liaison with Services Shed requirements & Strategic Sourcing team for India & Export requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering / B. Tech degree from an accredited university or college OR 8+ years of experience in Sourcing/Procurement, Program Management, or Supply Chain
  • MBA degree in Supply Chain management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ additional experience in Sourcing
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Proven financial, quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with Sourcing Systems
  • Ability to articulate both simple and complex situations in a concise and logical manner
  • Ability to prioritize with strong attention to detail
  • Self-driven & dynamic Team member who can work in Individual contributor & team member role.
  • Ability to Lead & Execute supplier development projects.
