Job Purpose

Job Purpose Description

Responsible for timely dispatch of Smelter grade Alumina to Smelters by BTAP Rake and evacuation of Red Mud and Fly Ash to mainly Cement companies besides ensure timely availability of Bauxite, Caustic & Furnace oil Rake.

Responsible for Cash Flow, Spares & Service contract management, Creation of SRN and ensure IMS documentations for the section.

Supporting Actions

 

1) Alumina Despatch to Smelters

  • Coordination with production team for dispatch plan based on monthly plan
  • Coordinate with Central Logistics team for rake planning
  • Communication with concerned railway operating dept for knowing rake position
  • Get necessary TC from Quality Assurance
  • Coordinate with Traffic section for timely invoicing
  • Creating MIS report on BTAP tracking etc
  • Contacting Logistics partners at Smelter on product feedback & resolve Customer grievances
  • Coordinate with Chakradharpur Division for monthly PME

2) Out Bound Dispatch of Red Mud & Fly Ash to mainly Cement Units

  • Coordinating with Marketing team for quarterly sales plan
  • Sharing plan with production team and Sr team at SE Railway
  • Making daily dispatch plan and sharing the same with all stake holders
  • Placing Indent in FOIS and inform Customers
  • Coordinate with Railway team on rake placement time
  • Coordinate with tarpauline contractor during monsoon
  • Follow up with traffic team for timely invoicing
  • Check with railway team for load adjustment if any

3) Target Zero Demurrage on Rakes

  • Coordinate each rake movement to avoid bunching
  • Ensure all resources like Operators, Shunting crew, Tarpauline agency, Pay loader operator are available
  • Coordinate with IMWB team for timely weighment
  • Ensure proper communication with all stake holders
  • Ensure timely handover of release memo to railways
  • Follow up at DRM Office, Ranchi for waiver of demurrage

4) Budget Management like Cash Flow, Requisitions, SRN, Capex etc

  • Provide Weekly Cash Forecast to Accs team
  • Raise Requisitions as per dept Budget
  • Follow up with Procurement, Contractor for execution
  • Preparation of SRN & forward to Accs for timely payment
  • Raising of CP relating to small Capex and its timely execution

5) IMS/ WCM / SOP documentation, Training etc

  • Preparation of SOP for daily nature of jobs & implementation
  • Coordinate for IMS Field Audits etc and update documents as per standards
  • Take corrective steps got Audit observation / NC
  • Schedule monthly On Job training for operators & shunting staff
