Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Purpose of the role

A sound professional with supply chain expertise, mathematical skills, ability to manage data, who can analyze and develop solutions for inbound supply chain with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness in this area. The incumbent is expected to work in the capacity of an individual contributor in a challenging business environment. This virtual team caters to 30+ plants and several business teams / groups in the US.

Key Accountabilities
Operational Excellence (80% of Time)
  • Review BOM component data and production version (Recipe) data and executive BOM creation and alternate creation for SEMI Finished and Finished Goods.
  • Review and create the recipe for SEMI Finished and Finished Goods.
  • Review and execute Ingredient, Packaging, WIP quantity and scrap values in BOM.
  • Review and execute the recipe changes for SEMI Finished and Finished Goods.
  • Work on Single/Multiple Layer BOMs.
  • Execute Product Formula/Temporary exceptions review for BOM maintenance activity.
  • Support and execute BOM-related Projects.
  • Collaborate across supply chain teams to identify and implement information and product flow improvements.
  • Gain expertise in General Mills planning systems and internal process tools (SAP ERP, Winshuttle, SharePoint workflow, Evolve, Doc Routing etc.)
  • Resolve queries independently with root cause analysis on process issues related to BOM and Recipe.
  • Adhere to the SOP and processes set for the master data requirements related to material and BOM setup activities.
  • Identify process gaps, communicate to required business partners, and acquire information needed to eliminate gaps in BOM setup and Recipe Maintenance.
  • Maintenance of internal trackers to capture volume, accuracy, and timeliness for the BOM activities.

  • Actively participate in Onboarding from PET and Brazil business team.
  • Support and Engage for any team initiatives.
  • Participate in formal Logistics and Planning Training.
  • Participate in Supply Chain Competencies Training.

  • Help develop clear process documentation and strive for continuous improvement of processes and efficiency.
  • Orientation toward process tools and discipline.
  • Use of CI tools for process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
  • Minimum years of related experience required: 2-3 years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Operations Supply Chain
  • Preferred Professional Certifications: CPIM/CSCP
  • Preferred years of related experience: 3-4 years
