Assistant Manager/Manager- Inventory Planning

Role & Definition

This role is responsible for sales analysis and forecasting for proper inventory planning in order to keep the inventory costs in control and generate set gross profit for overall business unit of Brenntag India. This would be a support service and an individual contributor role.

Responsibility Deliverables (Key Result Areas KRAs)

Designing and generating statistical forecast for multiple SKUs in the F&N business unit.
Recommend adjustments to forecasts and inventory targets based on inputs received from the sales/commercial team.
Continuously improve forecast accuracy with various techniques/methods/approach.
Preparation of various inventory related reports and submission to all Business Managers.
Responsible for processing of EVAs as per the standard protocol and timeline.
Conduct S&OP meetings with all Business Unit Monthly, Inventory near to expiry, stock analysis , Inventory turn , Forecast Accuracy Inventory greater than 03 months & more than one year.
Monitor Forecast Accuracy (Forecast vs. Actual) and escalate to Sales Team, Heads, and management regularly with the products having a high risk of shortage or excess stock.
Prepare monthly stock report to present how effectively the inventory is under control.
Prepare reports of the SKUs near the expiry
Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and products to meet forecasted demand and minimize stockouts.
Recommend actions to improve inventory turnover and reduce holding costs.

 

Key Qualification Required

Any graduate from a reputed college/university.
Preferably MBA/PGDBM in operations or a diploma holder in supply chain management from a reputed college/university.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 8 years of experience in demand planning & inventory planning in an international manufacturing/retail organization.
Strong working experience in various forecasting tools and advanced excel.
