About the role:

Buy Desk Lead will work with supply chain category management team and internal COE Teams to build/maintain yearly pipeline for RFx. The lead would be accountable for maintaining RFx timelines, assess and highlight risks, create a mitigation plan and ensure that productivity is realized as per plan. The leads need to ensure that bids go out for Strategic initiatives, New Opportunities, Expiring Contracts etc Ensure Carrier standard sourcing process is followed and leverage tools like Ariba to deploy RFx

Build Organizational Capability and Capacity to complement the growth and high performance expectations. Develop and enhance continuous improvement culture and drive the organization towards CoE. Own Attracting, Hiring, Engaging, Developing and Retention of diverse talent.

You will work with global supply chain, regiona across sites, and your team to make things happen

Key Responsibilities:

• A. Core Sourcing knowledgeKnowledge and exposure to Indirect categories, cost reduction, sourcing, best practice RFQ’s, negotiation process thereby guiding team to drive best outcomes for Carrier Strong exposure in cost estimation, negotiations Should have worked directly in analyzing Total Cost of Ownership of products/services Hands on experience in working on spend data to drive actionable insights for spend category Should have experience driving initiatives for indirect categories to enable productivityB. Team strategyStrategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities for team Periodic engagement with stakeholders to define strategy, align on strategy, adapt strategy based on changing business needs and stakeholders’ expectations

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelors Degree from a premier institute is a must,
• MBA preferred 10-12 years of supply chain management experience, exposure to CoE environment essential
• Strong sourcing knowledge
• Should have managed a team of 4-10 direct reports
• Ability to work in a global environment with global stakeholders across multiple countries
• Strategic thinking- ability to think through and independently define priorities
