JOB OVERVIEW
Function Overview
The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role
This role includes managing efficient information flow and Supply Chain execution that supports product lifecycle process. This role requires an individual to set up the raw materials, finished goods and the Bill of Materials in SAP ERP which will provide visibility to Supply and Demand. An Individual should be effective in communication to connect different stakeholders along with several business teams/ groups in the US.
Key Accountabilities
Operational Excellence (90% of Time)
  • Work on single/ multi-layer BOM creation and maintenance for assigned manufacturing platforms/ business.
  • Update product characteristics/ attributes in SAP for raw materials (Unit of measure, price etc.).
  • Execute Material set up process at required locations.
  • Conceptual understanding of product lifecycle process and proficiency in product specifications to create Bills of Materials.
  • Manage exceptions to the process.
  • Learn and execute knowledge on General Mills planning systems and internal process tools (SAP ERP, gPLM (Global Product Lifecycle Management), GTM (Go to Market) tools and SharePoint workflows etc.).
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly activities to review the key performance metrics and root cause analysis of issues observed.
  • Provide regular communication updates on key performance metrics to the business stakeholders.
  • Active participation in Brand execution meetings and provide updates on project status.
  • Learn and execute assigned activities/ desk work as per business requirement.
  • Work on gPLM and GTM project reconciliation.
  • Work collaboratively with US supply chain partners to gather the needed information to support the governance of planning processes.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for reporting purpose.
Organizational Effectiveness (5% of Time)
  • Support any team initiatives and process improvements.
  • Participate in Knowledge Sharing sessions.
  • Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility activities.

Career Development (5% of Time)

  • Participate in Planning and Logistics Training.

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education – Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered)
  • Minimum Degree Requirements – Bachelors
  • Minimum years of related experience required – 1-2 years
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
  • Preferred Major Area of Study: Operations Supply Chain
  • Preferred Professional Certifications: CPIM/CSCP
  • Preferred years of related experience: 1-2 years
