About the job

The GBS mission is to contribute to Sanofi Consumer Healthcare (CHC) simplification by developing and implementing a new operating model to execute some of the financial & accounting processes (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash, Source-to-Value, Master Data Management, among others). GBS aims to deliver efficiency by leveraging best in class methodologies and strategically contributing to CHC simplification, while driving mindset and cultural changes.

The Global Head of Source 2 Value reports to the CHC Chief Accountant and Head of Global Business Services.

She/he will lead globally Source 2 Value organization & will be responsible for crafting a compelling vision and strategy for global S2V operations. S2V team is organized via full end 2 end Source 2 Value process ownership & is covering globally following enlarged scope of S2V activities: Vendor Master Data management, Procurement Risk Management, Contract Services

Tactical Sourcing, Purchasing Management, Invoice management & Accounts Payables, Month End Closing, Cogs Purchasing Info Records, Travel & Expense management, S2V Help Desk (internal & external support model maintenance).

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute the overall Sanofi CHC S2V strategy, adopting industry best practices, aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives. This includes defining operational standards, processes, and technologies to support effective management of S2V operations.
  • Ensure full alignment between Business/Procurement/Functions and Digital with Sanofi CHC S2V strategy.

Team Leadership & BPO Management:

  • Lead a high-performing team of professionals +200 FTEs in 45 Sanofi CHC countries
  • Develop & cultivate challenger mindset and Sanofi CHC culture within the team, maintain #OneTeamSpirit with internal GBS S2V and BPO teams.
  • Drive strategic partnership management with Business Process Outsourcing Partner, including ownership of global contractual relationship with BPO, being overall accountable for efficient allocation of BPO budget & resources to drive effectively value for Sanofi CHC.  
  • Plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing outsourced business footprint to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service delivery. .

Performance Management:

  • Responsible for business continuity and delivery of best-in-class performance results for Sanofi CHC Source 2 Value operations (Pay on Time, cycle times, control of overdue, maverick etc.). 
  • Drive BPO scope and performance: ensuring efficiency of BPO team supporting process via delivery of services in line with contractual obligations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust S2V governance.
  • Monitor against benchmark and analyze S2V processes and operational results to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of S2V processes and capabilities.
  • Monitor & ensure CHC S2V strategy implementation roadmap.

Continuous Improvement & Excellence of User Experience :

  • Ensure S2V processes excellence, continuous improvement, innovation, and solutions excellence via evolution of Target Operating Model (TOM) & Core Model (CM).
  • Support digital with a focus on driving innovation, best-in-class simplification of the digital landscape defining best fit for Sanofi CHC purpose covering global end-to-end process.
  • Standardize, innovate, and streamline S2P processes and improve user experience, process health, performance, and compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Framework

  • Partner with stakeholders other GBS streams, Procurement, Finance, Digital, Legal, E&BI, Internal Control, Supply Chain & M&S and Sanofi CHC Executive Committee members, their teams to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure efficient interaction of S2V team at all levels of organization with core stakeholders, business & BPO.

About you

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business administration in Finance, Procurement, Information Science, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • 20+ years of business experience, ideally in business management, legal, financial or information or IT management – recently at or near the executive level.
  • Highly motivated and experienced innovator who has produced tangible results ( as well as been in senior-level leadership position ) in Source 2 Pay and/or Procurement departments for 15+ years.
  • Proven track record in Source 2 Value leadership and  strong knowledge of S2V related information technology systems and tools.
  • Very good understanding of a Global Business Services operating models and versality across multiple areas of the business to understand and anticipate different business needs and improve user journeys
  • Experience with cross-functional or cross-divisional leadership of complex efforts such as shared governance, technology implementations, divisional leadership, or major programs.
  • Lean management expert with a mindset to deliver value and achieve the full potential of Sanofi CHC GBS.
