Schneider Electric Prosumer Purchasing manager is responsible for all Purchasing aspects related to product development.

The job is central position involving coordination with project teams, global purchasing organization and well as suppliers.

Responsibilities

PURCHASING

• Manage and mentor team of purchaser

• Coordinate the purchasing activity at project level, being the key interface for project teams and suppliers, you will be responsible to help, support, challenge people and teams internally and externally.
• Responsible of the cost of our products, you will be responsible to identify and promote continuous cost reductions by ensuring the best design to cost, challenging engineering and suppliers, identifying and promoting alternative solutions, negotiating prices
• Leverage and promote solutions recommended by SE Global team – Ensure that we use in priority parts and suppliers that are approved by the global supply chain, coordinate for introduction and qualification of new suppliers and technologies
• Support project teams during the design phase for part procurement and expediting whenever necessary
• Coordinate with the factory to ensure seamless transition from prototyping build to manufacturing build
• Complete all necessary Purchasing deliverables in the PMP process for new product introductions for Solar.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years purchasing and / or supply chain management experience
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain or Operations / related field or equivalent experience
• Experience across multiple supply chain competencies: Logistics, Demand Management, Customer Service, etc.
• Strong negotiation skills
• Collaborative approach to problem solving
• Good analytical skills
• Self motivated, results oriented with focus on continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the electronics industry
