Function Overview
The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role
 
Role is of a lead analyst. The lead analyst will plan a critical role in the customer operations Product Team of General Mill’s D&T (Digital and Technology) organization and will act as an advisor to product team and leadership to develop overall solutions strategy and vision for highly complex business and technical needs across the North America customer operations and Business teams in Order to Cash area. Additionally, the Lead Analyst will work closely with Product Owners to determine their goals and outcomes, eliciting and analyzing requirements and creating solution strategy to enable both current as well as future needs.
The responsibilities assume SAP Application and solutioning leadership with SAP SD, MM skills. Lead, Mentor and develop team to build solutioning capabilities within the India Team. Ability to work and develop junior consultants to deliver projects in a global delivery model. Develop close partnership with business users, product Leads, process leads to truly understand needs and facilitate connections to ensure end to end solution thus ensuring Information Technology solutions meet their requirements and driving technology initiatives to enhance their operations.
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Apply deep technical expertise, with strong knowledge of SAP MM, SD modules, O2C processes and its related applications, integrations to design, build, optimize and support business operations.
  • Provide a fundamental understanding of SAP HANA process and its related solutions and integrations with other systems to peers and business partners.
  • Partner with solution teams across other supply chain functions, and IT partners to translate business & statutory requirements into SAP system designs & solutions.
  • Design solutions and provide business requirements to development teams, lead testing cycles to ensure outcomes meet agreed designs, and promote new functionality to production.
  • Connect with IT and business peers to ensure end to end solution optimization.
  • Provide first class service and support of existing financial processes & systems to meet business needs.
  • Prepare functional specifications, proactively facilitate knowledge transfer and user adoption of new and existing solutions.
  • Lead and mentor Customer Operations and its related technologies team.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, improve and streamline processes, and reduce time spent on support.
  • Provide leadership, offer technical guidance, and carry out assigned activities during system releases, system upgrades and the application of SAP Hot Packs and system fixes.
  • Evaluate business needs, define user requirements, plan and execute approved development projects, in partnership with product team members, business users and IT.
  • Bring an external perspective.
  • Implement new applications or system functionality in support of GMI’s future Logistics Operations strategy.
  • Develop close partnership with business users to truly understand needs and facilitate technical connections to ensure end to end solution optimization.
  • Ensure Team follows agile methodology and agile stories are maintained and team follows JIRA/ADO processes.
  • Work with D&T extended teams and extended business teams to understand challenges faced by business and suggest technology solutions that meet business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)
  • Self-starter with experience leading through ambiguous projects & tasks.
  • Providing guidance & work direction to project team members and ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Ability to work with and manage stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to convert business challenges into technical solutions.
  • Working with global teams in matrix organization
  • Ability to build local and global relationships across boundaries.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
  • Agile in understanding and proposing solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships across functions.
  • Understanding of processes and methodologies in SAP technology
  • 10 years or more of SAP Sales & Distribution, MM with experience including solutioning, configuration, implementations.
  • 2-3 Full-life cycle SAP implementation experience.

  • 10+ years of related experience in SAP with emphasis on Customer demand and O2C (Order to cash) processes.
  • Technical expertise in SAP Demand Chain
  • FMCG/CPG experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
  • Track record as a strong team player with effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills – can deal and communicate effectively in English (both in writing and verbally) with systems colleagues and business users.
  • An analytical, methodical, logical approach to problem solving, employing innovative approaches to business and technical challenges.
  • Structured and self-disciplined approach to working – can work on own initiative.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple conflicting activities.
