You will execute transportation operations in term of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution. You will be responsible for activities such as transport planning (load planning, route planning), track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims management, invoice management, compliance execution (HSE, quality, risk management), tenders support, and third-party performance management.
 
How you will contribute
 
You will:
  • Lead transportation related operational activities such as transport planning (load and route planning), track and trace, proof of delivery management, claims, freight billing and pay, pallet management, tender support, third-party performance management, etc.
  • Monitor, verify, update, analyze and report on our company’s transportation KPIs and introduce corrective actions to continuously improve our transportation operations
  • Coordinate logistics service providers (LSPs) to ensure punctual, timely and in-full deliveries, in accordance to our standard operating procedures
  • Participate and provide input into regular service provider performance reviews
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on shortages, delays, quality issues, and other losses while permanently analyzing the root causes of recurring problems
  • Participate in project-related and ad hoc tasks in particular in connection with (CI) projects and tenders and capacity management

  • Being able to communicate effectively and considerately toward internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Comprehensive understanding of business principles in combination with a high degree of initiative
  • Knowledge of third-party logistics or logistics service provider operations

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Digital Manager for Logistics Operations to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading and optimizing the digital transformation of our logistics operations, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a adequate understanding of logistics operations and a good background in digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
 
Digital Strategy Development:
Develop and implement digital strategies to improve logistics operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify digital opportunities that enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Process Optimization:
Utilize digital tools and technologies to streamline logistics processes (such as route optimization, Proof of delivery, warehouse management, and control tower).
Work with operations teams to identify bottlenecks and propose data-driven solutions.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
Leverage data analytics tools to monitor and analyze logistics operations, track performance, and generate actionable insights.
Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics (KPIs) to senior management.
Technology Integration:
Manage the integration and implementation of digital tools, systems, and software that support logistics operations (e.g., TMS, WMS, GPS tracking, and real-time monitoring platforms).
Stay updated with the latest technology trends in logistics and recommend innovative solutions.
Project Management:
Lead and manage digital transformation projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with logistics, IT, and other business units to align digital initiatives with overall business goals.
Engage with key stakeholders to ensure digital projects meet operational needs and deliver value.
Training and Support:
Provide training to logistics teams on new digital tools and systems.
Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for digital platforms in use.

Education / Certifications:
Qualifications:
 
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
 
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics/ supply chain operations/ digital supply chain management
Proven experience in managing digital transformation projects within logistics.
Familiarity with digital tools and software for logistics operations (e.g., Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, ERP systems).

Skills:
Strong understanding of logistics operations and digital tools used to optimize them.
Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
