Job Family Summary

Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems.

Level Summary

A skilled supply chain specialist that completes tasks in a resourceful & effective way. Responsible for the weekly planning and delivery of technical, operative or administrative services. Learns to use/apply professional concepts or develops professional expertise, interpreting and using company policies and practices to resolve issues on a variety of problems in own discipline/specialist area. Adapts practices within company policies using acquired techniques to complete complex assignments and achieve goals. Collaboratively works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises independent judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions that may significantly impact business operations. Recognized by peers to be credible and leader of some team efforts.

Roles & Responsibilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
