Operations Specialist – Blending

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for Planning of Blending activity like pre-final harvest as well as blend batch along with shift management to deliver good quality seed in right time & quantity against the weekly and monthly plans with the established procedures to ensure that all processes are duly implemented and followed.
Coordinate in executing operation activities, communication with internal and external squad.
Responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and 5S at shop floor & drive One PSS, continuous improvement projects. Managing team on daily basis to monitor the outcome & their tasks.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor the production target Vs receipt, reporting daily performance of blending, productivity, quality and operational issues.
Review and monitor drying material and prioritization for blending, Coordinate with other Squad team member for seed arrival on daily basis from Warehouse.
Develop and improve existing blending operational processes and protocols as per Bayer quality standards in parallel with compliance of ISO standards
Develop and implement innovative technologies, materials and best practices to increase operational effectiveness.
Monitor effective as Zero admixture process as per standard process.
Responsible for to take GR (goods receipt of seed after blending pre & final blending)
Ensure the correct posting in SAP for GR of seed and non-seed material
Work & support to Operations activity during peak season for shift schedule (Day & Night)
Report monthly on system updating to finance team.
Support in budgeting and costing, annual requirement Seed & non seed procurement for blending operations
Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, collaboration with others and independent though.
Supporting to HR process, admin requirement & asset verification process.
Maintain all time safe and clean working environment, support for CSR activities.
Increase functional knowledge through knowledge exchange and team development programs.
Plan and ensure the appropriate & consistent functional trainings to contract workforce to enhance the skills in Operation.
Support in budgeting and costing of annual requirement of consumables for operations.
Support compliance audits, QMS Audits, Internal Audits, Inspections, and risk assessments appropriately on-time
Accountable for SSHE initiatives and objectives, PPE adherence at shopfloor to establish SAFE workplace.
Utilize one PSS techniques to initiate process improvements, standardize work, metrics tracking and supports better place to work methodology

WHO YOU ARE:

Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in the Seed Industry/Operations.
Degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Engineering or related Areas.
Ability to work effectively in a global team based and highly matrixed environment.
Flexible and agile work-attitude is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team
Communication skills both verbal and written required
Learns new tasks and develops skills quickly, time management
Natural interest for information systems and processes. Ability to learn SAP system
