Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sales and purchasing for ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement strategies to align with the company’s overall business objectives. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an in-depth understanding of supply chain operations, and the ability to manage vendor performance effectively and minimum 1+ year experience.

  • Coordinating with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
  • Handling all procurement tasks like pre-qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, preparing agreements, and managing tenders.
  • Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets.
  • Identify and source materials required for production, ensuring consistency with quality standards, delivery schedules, and budget constraints.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to make sure we get good value, meet quality standards, and stick to delivery timelines, all while incorporating feedback from team members and stakeholders and favourable payment terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Work closely with the inventory and production teams to align material procurement requirements with production forecasts and demand.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchased material’s PO, inventory, delivery notes, invoices, and contracts.

Requirements

    • Conduct regular audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and mitigate potential discrepancies.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers and customers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Evaluate and report supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery time, and after sales and service support.
    • Resolve issues related to materials, delivery delays, or discrepancies to ensure continuous production flow.
    • Facilitating the requirement for the documentation for the delivery of material transportation insurance, declarations, eway bills, taxes and other levies.

What we Expect from you?

  • The willingness to engage with manufacturers and suppliers for procurement both within and outside the state in Kerala.
  • English, Hindi fluency required.
  • Probably from Business educational background preferred.

  • Conduct periodic vendor reviews, ensuring that performance standards are met and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • The willingness to engage with vendors, channel partners, and customers for the purposes of meetings, promotional initiatives, discussions, and negotiations.
