The Lubricant Supply Chain (LSC) organization is a critical part of the broader Lubricants business, and critical to winning in the marketplace. In this role, you assist the Regional Logistics Manager to manage the depot activities and providing day to day support (both proactive and reactive) on any of the issues already referred to, as well as response to immediate/unusual situations.

What’s the role?

  • Manages the scheduling of packed deliveries to ensure the Delivery Promise is met. Focuses on developing schedules and following up on order scheduling execution. Monitors stock availability and orders, performing various tasks necessary for scheduling. Applies to packed deliveries only, not bulk.
  • Confirms that both packed and bulk deliveries have been delivered as loaded and resolves any discrepancies. Checks POD data where applicable and applies to packed deliveries only.
  • Has the ability to create or modify inbound deliveries and schedule dock times for products (both packed and bulk) being shipped from vendors or other Shell plants to storage facilities for Shell finished products or products needed for lubricant production.
  • Communicates with vendors to arrange timing and sends documentation to the freight forwarder, providing copies to the security house to ensure they are aware of incoming vehicles.
  • Records decentralized receipt of materials in line with the Purchase Order in a timely manner.
  • Must ensure that customer orders are delivered on time in full as per agreed service level agreement in a safe & cost-effective manner
  • Follow up with transporters to ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Managing day to day operations of depots & warehouses and training service providers and implementing Shell initiatives viz, Core Logistics Process, Safe Warehousing Standards etc.
  • Adhering to Shell General Business Principles in all transactions and conduct of business with external parties; demonstrate and inculcate this behaviour within the team members internally.
  • Assist the Regional Logistics Manager, to manage the depot activities and providing day to day support (both proactive and reactive) on any of the issues already referred to, as well as response to immediate/unusual situations.
  • Demonstrating commitment to and be responsible for HSSE and RTHSSE and the company’s initiative development; inculcating safety conscious behaviour, with external parties and internally within the team; meeting the safety target on sustainable
  • Provides Product Master Warehouse information and coordinates storage at the warehouse. Additionally, provides information on storage capacity and loading details, including palletization.

What we need from you

  • Graduate of bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, preferably with MBA
  • With work experience of around 5 to 10 years
  • Preferably have a working knowledge in Logistic Function, Customer Management, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Transportation, Vendor Management and Road Transport Safety
  • Work experience in Lubricants, Retail or Oil & Gas is an advantage
  • With working knowledge and experience in Supply Chain or any related courses is a plus
