This position will lead Supply Chain Development (SCD) Team for specific regions. This position will be responsible to lead the team of SCD analysts while developing compelling value proposition through supply chain analytics positioning Maersk as a trusted partner for potential customers.

Will act as a single point of contact for all SCD Managers, Sales account owners, Customer service teams, Sustainability Managers

Job Description:

The SCD Manager has a two-faceted role. They will have a team of Analysts & Sr. Analysts reporting into them. This team will be for a specific region within SCD. The SCD Manager will also be directly working with the SCD Regional Managers & Regional Heads in identifying new opportunities, building stronger customer portfolio, strengthen the regions’ gap to target.

The SCD Manager will enable their Analysts to lead & drive high impact customer engagement, build in-depth understanding of logistics industry and Maersk services. The role will also contribute to the continued improvement and innovation in the SCD team and the larger commercial organization and thereby be recognized globally for in depth knowledge and problem solving on supply chain topics including proficient execution of analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• SCD Manager has both team management and an individual contributor role.

• As an individual contributor, the work ranges from setting team’s objectives and delivering on own work responsibilities.

• As a leader, the key responsibilities include –

• Lead within a given field and influence long term tactical decisions of the organization.
• Manage Supply Chain Development Analysts team to deliver high quality projects to the customer
• Be the link to the center SCD team to create, develop and manage comprehensive quality mechanism to deliver high quality projects along with identifying inefficiencies in the processes.
• Support Global SCD team on various aspects relating to growing and retaining existing and new accounts as well as securing the differentiating value of the Supply Chain Development product portfolio
• Interact with the SCD global community to work on global projects/customers, learn about new projects and initiatives to assist your regional target customers
• Possess and continue learning of supply chain industry and Maersk’s offerings
• Drive and contribute to innovation, standardization and capability-building areas in SCD
• Display role model behavior on ownership, motivation and teamwork
• Possess and continue learning of supply chain industry and Maersk’s offerings
• Drive and contribute to innovation, standardization and capability-building areas in SCD
• Excellent in Stakeholder management.

Desired Skills:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Science or any other similar discipline
• Relevant experience of 10+ years in Logistics & Supply Chain. Relevant customer facing experience of 4+ years in supply chain consulting is mandatory.
• Fluent in English – oral and written. Strong communication and presentation skills is a must.
• The candidate must be good in managing stakeholders on a global scope. Should have an ability to lead with influence without authority.
• The candidate must be able to navigate the team via tough situations.
• The candidate must be a People’s person, have the able to strike a balance between Tasks & People
• Experience working with supply chain analysis software like Coupa/Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, or any similar supply chain optimization software.
• Strong quantitative, research, and data analytics skills contributing towards problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (CoPilot, PowerBi, MS Office)
• Detail-orientated and enjoy being an expert on logistics sector.
