Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

Sr. Analyst – Inventory Forecasting supports spare part forecasting enhancements, including expendable and rotable components to support the Maintenance operations of United Airlines fleet. This role is part of the team accountable for identifying enhancement opportunities, improving spare parts forecasting, and streamlining the forecasting process. This position will collaborate with Digital Technology partners and Supply Chain groups, including inventory planning, vendor management, components/engines shops, warehousing, and logistics functions. The role will work closely with other Data Scientists working on identifying trends from parts usage data, transaction data and operations data, and providing suggestions to support the Supply Chain organization initiatives.

• Identify enhancement opportunities to improve forecasting model performance, implement and streamline the process
• Ensure alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives – helping business groups make faster and better decisions
• Support strategic Supply Chain initiatives with analysis accompanied by actionable recommendations
• Continuously improve the forecasting capabilities
