Senior Manager Distribution Planning

Job Description
Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., (ACT) is a global Fortune 200 company. A leader in the convenience store and fuel space, ACT’s retail network includes ~16,700 convenience stores, and has footprint across 31 countries and territories primarily under the Circle K brand. The India Fuels & Logistics Global Capability Centre (F&L GCC) is an integral part of ACT’s Global Fuels & Logistics Team, and the Senior Manager Distribution Planning will be a key player on this team that will help lead the distribution planning team and grow F&L globally at ACT.
The hired candidate will partner with multiple departments, including Global Technology, Business Units and Support functions.
About the role
The incumbent will be responsible for leading distribution planning for pertinent regions, and owning the HSSE targets and compliance within distribution, together with operations managers, and proactively support the team throughout the supply network to improve performance targets by identifying improvement opportunities. Additionally, the incumbent will have to be flexible to work in shifts.
Roles & Responsibilities
Fuel Distribution Planning
- Personnel and leadership responsibility for Distribution Planning managers and a large team of distribution planners
- Key responsibility for service level (dry runs at stations)
- Understand the strategic vision of supply & logistics and ensure that targets are being met
- Accountable for overseeing supply execution in line with established guidelines and ensuring sourcing contracts are fulfilled as specified, including volumes and quality standards.
- Expectation to continuously identify improvement opportunities within own function
- Provide input, improvement proposals and information to stakeholders
- Coaching and training team on what planning quality standards are within Circle K. Drive continuous improvement within the team.
- Responsible for securing smooth cooperation with other functions in Global Fuels
- Responsible for promoting talents and create succession plans for key personnel within own team
Project Management
- Develop an in-depth understanding of business performance and generate strategic insights to influence decision making
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize solutions and drive projects Prepare management reports for senior stakeholder reviews and project analysis
Operational Excellence
- Drive process, innovation, and transformational change within the department, and initiatives for operational improvements, process/workflow development, and managing cross functional projects
- Ability to work independently, motivated & a proactive attitude
- Follow and establish industry standards, implementing SOPs to achieve desired benchmarks on fleet planning & supply chain metrics
- Improve performance targets (service level, volume/h; shift utilization; drop average) by leading process improvement initiatives.
People Management
- Attract, retain, and develop talent for future opportunities within the Fuels & Logistics team
- Drive ACT culture at the India Fuels & Logistics GCC, aligned to people’s values Devise customized learning plan for the team to adopt respective skills and meet organizational vision, leadership, performance, etc.
Stakeholder Management
- Work collaboratively across multiple sets of stakeholders – Business functions, Global F&L Team, to deliver on project deliverables
- Proactively recommend multiple approaches along with their pros & cons to the business stakeholders and support making the right decisions
- Collaborate closely with fleet managers, planners, carrier representatives, colleagues inside and outside Global Fuels and Circle K, to drive business results Serve as first point of contact for the Business stakeholders for any technical/non-technical activities/escalations within the project
Education
- Master’s degree or equivalent in logistics or supply chain
Relevant Experience
- 12+ Experience from large international organizations
- 5 minimum years’ experience from logistics and supply planning
- 3 years minimum experience as Team Manager
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
