Senior Supply Chain Planner
Location : Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Job Description
Decides what, when and where to produce for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site, within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the tactical horizon to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies. Plant locations will be in a single region or a number of plants globally.In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.
It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities:

Leads and implements tactical plans across plants, ensuring schedule conformance and driving labor/capacity plans.

Develops plans for new item introductions and discontinuations, ensuring product availability and mitigating obsolescence.

Determines and executes effective sourcing rules regionally or globally.

Ensures strategic and tactical decisions are made with a full understanding of supply chain capabilities, service impacts, costs, and risk management.

Manages inventory levels and establishes safety stock targets, aligning supply plans accordingly.

Supports Supply Review preparation by reviewing reports/KPIs and ensuring integration with Finance and Accounting.

Drives continuous improvement by reviewing and enhancing the distribution network and manufacturing strategies.

Four or more years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment

University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other Sciences

APICS certification preferred, OMP Knowledge is an advantage

Supply chain management skills

Technical proficiency in use of computer applications, analytical skills and project management skills.

SAP Knowledge is a must

Should be able to work in shifts supporting different time zone.
