Job Description

This a key role in the execution of category sourcing & strategies for one or more complex categories at global level. Sourcing Manager (Sourcing Sr. Consultant) is required to have a deep expertise in strategic sourcing domain, specialization in the respective category with in-depth industry knowledge. Sourcing Manager (Consultant) shall collaborate with senior business leaders and other stakeholders to drive and implement innovative procurement strategies to drive best overall business value that meets Allstate’s overarching business priorities and goals.

This is an individual contributor role supporting the in-country requirement collaborating with Global Category managers.

Job Description

  • Develop sourcing strategies, lead and support sourcing events to drive down the total cost of ownership, with a focus on quality, cost, delivery, risk, sustainability and diversity.
  • Drive metrics, Monthly review, standard processes for the team in collaboration with Supplier and business.
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and negotiation strategies to deliver cost efficiency and right contracting.
  • Define and manage evaluation criteria and stakeholder management routines & build and maintain business relationships.
  • Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
  • Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.
  • Discover and partner with trustworthy suppliers.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Drive Rate card negotiation and implement the best practices across category in collaboration with Global Category Leaders.
  • Drive category strategy, efficiency and implement best industry practices.
  • Candidate should have exposure working on multi services categories which shouldn’t limit to IT Services, Professional Services, HR Services and their business acumen and category understanding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations or supply chain required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant professional experience in sourcing management or strategic procurement
  • Six Sigma, CPSM, or related Certificate desired
  • Proven work experience as a sourcing manager or procurement manager in Services categories.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management and thought leadership skillsComfortable with data analysis & interpretation for strategic development and deployments.
