Job Purpose

To support the development of its Hydrogen Business Line, John Cockerill Hydrogen (JC H2) is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager (m/f) to be based in India office engineering center.

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for managing and improving the quality of products and materials supplied to the organization. This role involves developing and implementing supplier quality management strategies, conducting supplier audits, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Quality Management: Develop and implement supplier quality management strategies to ensure that all supplied products and materials meet the required quality standards.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct regular audits of suppliers to assess their quality systems, processes, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Non-Conformance management: Work with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure that supplier quality requirements are integrated into the supply chain.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of supplier quality performance, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier quality to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products and materials.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to suppliers to help them improve their quality systems and processes.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding supplier quality issues and ensure that customer requirements are met.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in supplier quality management or a related role.
  • Experience in the oil & gas or automotive industry or equivalent in a similar role
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Strong knowledge of pressure vessels standards and codes
  • Knowledge of surface treatment processes
  • Knowledge of Production Parts Approval process
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Other Details

  • Office site environments with regular travel to supplier premises, construction sites or other regions (China, Europe, US)
