What You Need to Know

This role will support Supply chain team requirements for the nominated site, but at the same time will report into the Supplier Quality Development function working with clients and vendors on warehousing and logistics throughout India and other regions. The primary responsibility is to design, review and implement warehousing and logistics operations of the Chennai facility and to improve its operational efficiency and revenue and limit costs.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Accountabilities:

  • Handle the logistics management of Proserv India by managing both people and logistics operations.
  • Ensure adherence to the Service Level Agreements on operations.
  • Handle clients, vendors on the timelines, queries and delivery of the products,
  • Find and implement cost effective solutions for the transportation of materials and products.
  • Work towards continuous improvement to cater to all customers within the stated service delivery times across the globe.
  • Liaison with delivery partner to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Lead a fleet of delivery executives across areas and warrant an efficient and healthy work environment
  • Manage the on-boarding and training activities and ensure that they follow the required guidelines while performing different tasks
  • Manage tasks with Production Engineer and the supply chain team for the flow of operations.
  • Meet delivery timelines and make sure to follow HSE guidelines religiously.
  • Ensure prompt responses to queries /concerns raised by the team thereby clearing doubts/ apprehensions if any
  • Monitor the performance metrics of different reporting teams and take necessary actions to improve the same
  • Manage workflow and day to day operations
  • Ensure 100% compliance in all the operations and activities
  • Execute plans for ensuring the availability of required logistics and infrastructure to meet the demand
  • Find strategies to execute and scaling up of operations.
  • Explore opportunities for reducing the overall Cost Per Delivery Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management.
  • Always lead and be seen to lead in all matters related to FRESH values.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

Education

  • Any graduation with relevant work experience. Desired Logistics / Supply chain management
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to priorities to meet daily, weekly, and long-term requirements and goals
  • Attention to detail, ability to resolve issues and find solutions.
  • Excellent customer service skill is a must.

Experience

  • Experience in warehousing and logistics in manufacturing and production house is desired
  • Experience in procurement and operations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
  • Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Knowledge of Middle East markets desirable.
